The South

Where tea is sweet and accents are sweeter; summer starts in April; front porches are wide and words are long; macaroni and cheese is a vegetable; pecan pie is a staple; Y’all is the only proper pronoun; chicken is fried and biscuits come with gravy; everything is darling and someone is always getting their heart blessed. -unknown

Kindergarten Graduation!

Well, the year went by extremely fast.  Kindergarten graduation has come and gone.  It is a little bittersweet, but I couldn't be happier for Reese.  He has come a long way!

Walking in
Reese was chosen, along with some of his fellow classmates, to lead a song.
Leading the audience in Blue Skies and Rainbows
The hat has started migrating around the head.
Reese has to be different :)

I love this picture of him receiving his diploma.

Reese being Reese

1.  Since Reese has been playing ball, I have noticed that he likes to move around a lot in the outfield.  I am not surprised.  Last night he made me laugh though.  I looked out there and one of his coaches had yelled at him to get ready.  He stands with his legs a little apart and crouches down a little and puts his hands on his knees.  I am thinking, "Well good, now he is ready."  Then I look out there and he is looking over his shoulder at his rear end, and viewing it as he shakes it.

2.  Melany called me Monday and said that Reese had thrown up at lunch at school.  I immediately thought to myself, "he seemed fine this morning."  I started to ask her if he was not feeling well and she said not to worry about it.  The story she got when questioning him on what happened was this:  "I was eating and watching (child) across from me.  He was playing with his banana and making stuff come out of it and it made me throw up."

3.  This morning when I went and woke him up for school, with his eyes still closed from sleep he said, "Mom, do you know what happened in my dream?"  I said, "no Reese, I don't know."  He said, "Well, you were in it." (as if I should know because of that)

Love him!
