The South

Where tea is sweet and accents are sweeter; summer starts in April; front porches are wide and words are long; macaroni and cheese is a vegetable; pecan pie is a staple; Y’all is the only proper pronoun; chicken is fried and biscuits come with gravy; everything is darling and someone is always getting their heart blessed. -unknown

Sweet Inspiration

The other morning at about 6:15, we were all leaving the house to start our day. Brooks heard a rooster crow from the neighbor's house down the street.

(Roosters? That will be for a future post.)

He looked at me and gasped and said, "Mommy, I will NOT deny Jesus!"

This was so sweet - I showed it to Kirk - they are here for the week -and he said looks like someone is doing their homework! You have got to be so proud that what you and Brent are doing is sinking in. Kudos to you two. Love, Emmy

Luke 2:19 - "Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart..."

What a blessing to know that he "gets it" even at a young age!
