The South

Where tea is sweet and accents are sweeter; summer starts in April; front porches are wide and words are long; macaroni and cheese is a vegetable; pecan pie is a staple; Y’all is the only proper pronoun; chicken is fried and biscuits come with gravy; everything is darling and someone is always getting their heart blessed. -unknown

Work of Art

Reese came running in the den to me today and said that he "made a smiley face." I said show me!

What? You didn't see it? Were you too focused on the huge apple juice wet spot on his shirt? (That was another story that involved cleaning the kitchen floor.) Look in the bottom right hand corner.

He was so proud! (I have to admit, I was too!)

***I had forgotten to change the settings on my camera so, these pictures are lightened the best I could get them. Once I realized this, the moment had passed. Oh well!

And it was a good smiley face at that. Now I want to hear about the apple juice stain.

I clicked on the pic to get it bigger (bad eyes) and it is definitely a smiley face. Cute, I know you are proud. :)

We have that same one and when Lily first did something on it I put it away and would not erase it until I showed everyone. Ha, should have just gotten the camera.
