Nothing much has been going on in our lives lately. Brent’s mother has been very sick with pneumonia for the past two and a half weeks, but we are hoping that she has turned the corner, and the worst is behind her.
Brooks is enjoying his week out of school this week. I only hope he will be excited to go back to school next week. Friday was Spiritual Emphasis Day and he came home with a shield that they had made out of poster board. He loves that shield. I hope it survives at our house!
Reese is plugging along as always. We are trying to potty train, but I don’t know if we are making any headway. Sunday night at church he asked to go potty so Brent took him. Then 20 minutes later he said he needed to go again. I took him and I believe he squeezed a few drops out just so that he didn’t get in trouble. (But hey.... he did potty.) We were walking back in the auditorium and he said, “I can’t want to go back to church.” I said, “We are either going to go back in there, or we are going to go outside and get a spanking?” He said, “I want to get a spanking.” So I decided to hold true to my word and I took him outside and spanked his leg while I was still holding him. He stared at me and didn’t even flinch. He is going to make every hair on my head turn gray. I explained that mommy and daddy are at church to worship God, that we sing, and pray and listen to Mr. Randy tell us about God’s word. He seemed to like that answer and excitedly said, “I go sit in church!”
We are looking forward to having everyone over Thursday for Thanksgiving. Brooks and I made place cards using his handprint that I turned into a turkey. He is excited about putting everyone’s names on them. I have to get busy tomorrow and start cooking. I only hope I didn’t forget anything at the store.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Our 2 year olds are giving us a run for our money... Good job, Mom. You got one for the team!
I hope Brett's mom is doing better. I have been meaning to ask you if she needs a meal taken to her. I could get something to her Friday if that would help.
