The South

Where tea is sweet and accents are sweeter; summer starts in April; front porches are wide and words are long; macaroni and cheese is a vegetable; pecan pie is a staple; Y’all is the only proper pronoun; chicken is fried and biscuits come with gravy; everything is darling and someone is always getting their heart blessed. -unknown

Ramblings

I can't say anything in particular happened today. Brent is gone alligator hunting. As if once last year wasn't enough, he is gone again.
He called at 6:40 this morning to say that he, Justin, and Dirt got one last night and that they were guessing it was around 9 ft. Sounds like fun doesn't it?
I was already awake with two boys, (that don't know it is the weekend,) when Brent called. The boys are old enough now that I try to doze back off while they get up and play, but that never works since they don't know how to play quietly together, nor do they know how to play nicely together.
Brooks only had to stand in the corner once and Reese was only "disciplined" a handful of times today, so I guess it was a good day. It does make you realize how much you rely on your spouse when they are not home. My sweet husband usually gets up with the boys to let me sleep a little longer, since I get up before he does every other day.
I don't know why I was rambling about that.
School is going good. Brooks knows what to expect at school this year so going back to school hasn't been as life changing as it was last year. He was excited yesterday because he got to play with his "girlfriend" on the play ground. She is in a different class this year. GASP!!! I asked him if she was still his girlfriend and he said yes with an attitude of "of course."
Reese has been to his new school twice. He loves it. He just runs in and starts playing each day. I know that isn't shocking though, he goes at everything full force.
I am painting my bathroom. That doesn't sound like a big deal, but I am going from hunter green to white. First, the jury is out on how many coats it will take. Second, I know white sounds boring, but I will post some pictures when I get done because I intend for the focus to be on the accessories. It may all look terrible but only time will tell.......and time as in-I am taking my time.
Lastly, I will leave you with a question. Why is it that you can go to a store, try on a bridesmaid's dress, order that size, and when it comes in, it doesn't fit like the one you tried on at the store? UGH!

I agree that I realy on Brad, too. There are many things I always do, but the extra hands are very needed. Can I just say that there is NO WAY I would alligator hunt! Isn't it amazing how school makes kids grow up? I laughed out loud in regards to your question! I have had that problem with dyed shoes. That is miserable!

The whole dress thing? If you got it at David's Bridal, it won't fit! I never had a good experience there. Just don't try it on for awhile again, and then it should fit right. At least that's what I tell myself!

Regarding Taryn's comment--- does it not fit on purpose so they can sell you expensive alteration's? Something to think about!

Okay, that's what I wanted to ask you about tonight...Reese's school! I'm sure you have more thoughts on the subject.
