The South

Where tea is sweet and accents are sweeter; summer starts in April; front porches are wide and words are long; macaroni and cheese is a vegetable; pecan pie is a staple; Y’all is the only proper pronoun; chicken is fried and biscuits come with gravy; everything is darling and someone is always getting their heart blessed. -unknown

This and That

I haven't been blogging as much lately because I have been spending that time on Pinterest. First of all, genius concept! I was tired of bookmarking things over and over. So far I have tried these ideas I saw on there:

Ghosts!

spaghetti and hot dogs - looks like octopus or something -- VERY fun food :)

Crock pot chicken and dumplings

Black Tulle Wreath

I have so many things I have left to try!

The boys are still enjoying school. They are doing well.

This past Saturday my dad brought a small go-cart he had purchased for the boys to our house. Brooks knew Pop was bringing something but didn't know what. When he saw my dad driving up in the truck, he could see the go-cart in the back of the truck. He was so excited at what he thought he saw, he announced to everyone, "MY VERY OWN TREADMILL!!" We all got a kick out of that one. He would be happy with anything given to him.

Sunday night Reese was sitting in between Brent and I. He leaned in and whispered something to me. I can't remember now what it was. I responded to him by whispering back to him. Well apparently my breath wasn't the freshest at the time. (Hey, I'm just being honest here.) He quickly made a bad face and said, "I think daddy pooted." I couldn't tell on myself so I just said, "Maybe so." (Sorry Brent!)

I agree, that ghost is super cute! I may have to try that one. I love hand and foot prints.

I did the ghost footprint with Reese on a black plate. I have many other hand and foot print plates above my cabinets in the kitchen.
