(Leah, you will probably appreciate this post.)
Brooks, Dad, and I were down at the beach today and Brooks said he had to go to the bathroom. I told him he would just have to go do it in the ocean. He looked at me funny. He hasn't had too many chances to go tee-tee outside in his lifetime. (Maybe he has been to sheltered.) Anyway, so dad walked with him down to the water. I looked up and saw Brooks in the process of pulling down his bathing suit!!! Note to self: Explain fully each step in how to go potty in the ocean, including the phrase "Do not pull your pants down."
Reese has progressed to the productive cough now, which is better in terms of what stage he is in this sickness, but he is still pitiful. His eyes get real red underneath them when he gets sick, so he really looks bad right now. He is slowly making the turn toward getting better. Thanks for all your sweet comments!

Did I say that the "breathing fire" was hilarious!?!? Kate has always taken her treatments like a champ. Brooks, however, screams like you are making him "breathe fire". Girl, I am glad I'm not having to do that.
Bless your hearts! I hope you'll all actually get some rest and relaxation while you're there. Otherwise you will need another vacation after your vacation!
Here's hoping for a fabulous and relaxing Wednesday. It could be worse, you could be at home with a sick kid...at least you have a view! :-) What is it with croup lately. Brooks Busby has it too. It's one of those scary illnesses so I know you'll sleep better when it's over. That's funny about Brooks peeing in the ocean...unfortunately, my boys know how to pee outside all TOO well. That's not a good thing! :-)
TOO FUNNY!! Sorry we've been such a band influence!! :)
Glad yesterday was a bit better for Reese. Hope today is even better. Allison's right, though, at least you have a view!
The other day we were at the water park and Shey came up to me and told me he had peed in the water. Ok, I know the kids do it, so I asked him if he sat down and he said no. Then he shows me how he slipped his shorts down just under his privates for all the parents to see and peed in the water. I started looking around and no body was looking at me strangely, so maybe it was unnoticed.
I am glad he is feeling a little better. There is nothing more difficult than a sick child away from your normal doctors!
