The South

Where tea is sweet and accents are sweeter; summer starts in April; front porches are wide and words are long; macaroni and cheese is a vegetable; pecan pie is a staple; Y’all is the only proper pronoun; chicken is fried and biscuits come with gravy; everything is darling and someone is always getting their heart blessed. -unknown

A Reese Funny

When I went to pick up Reese yesterday, he told me about his trip to go ride the merry-go-round.

"Momma, I ride the horsey go round.....it go round like dis.... (he gestures in a circle).....I can't like it.....I cry.......I go like dis "AAHHH"........like dat."

I was impressed that it was a whole story. He doesn't like merry-go-rounds and car washes. Other than that he is pretty much fearless. I guess we will stay away from these two things for the time being.

Oh, he also doesn't like it when Brent and I hug. He will just have to get over that one!

That is funny. I'm with him. I don't like merry go rounds either.

Isn't it funny how things created for kids can scare them sometimes. Todd was terrified of Chuck E Cheese several years later.

That is hilarious! And, it sounds like something Brooks would have said...

Sounds like he will be a good story teller like his mom! I love your story about Brooks eating your salad too! Joe and I feel like such great parents when we are firm with them that they must finish their pizza before they can have dessert.
