The South

Where tea is sweet and accents are sweeter; summer starts in April; front porches are wide and words are long; macaroni and cheese is a vegetable; pecan pie is a staple; Y’all is the only proper pronoun; chicken is fried and biscuits come with gravy; everything is darling and someone is always getting their heart blessed. -unknown

Alligator Heads and Publix

I know the title of this post is catchy. Don't you think?

I have been working on my couponing skills over the last few months. I was finally able to save a lot more than I spent today at Publix.

I have decided that it is my new hobby. What better hobby than something that saves you money?

Brent went alligator hunting the past two weekends. It is a very involved process that takes registering with the state, being selected, only hunting at night time etc. I am proud to say that he, again this year, caught an alligator.

The alligator was much larger than the one he caught last year. With that being said, we have much more alligator meat than we did last year. The freezer in the garage is completely full. So what happens when the freezer outside gets full? Alligator parts are then moved into the freezer into the house. And wouldn't you know it, the part of the alligator that was saved to put in the freezer in the kitchen was the head.

Have you passed out yet?

I will prove it.

See that large bag in the drawer? That is an alligator head trying to stare at me. I haven't had the courage to get any closer than this.

I think I will be dreaming about him.

But the most important thing is, you have BLUEBELL in the freezer too! That makes everything better.

Tell Brent thanks again for coming over Wed night...

And, I'm so jealous. Scott won't let me put anything dead in the freezer.
