The South

Where tea is sweet and accents are sweeter; summer starts in April; front porches are wide and words are long; macaroni and cheese is a vegetable; pecan pie is a staple; Y’all is the only proper pronoun; chicken is fried and biscuits come with gravy; everything is darling and someone is always getting their heart blessed. -unknown

Labor Day

While Brooks was spening some one on one time with Gammie and Pop, we decided to take Reese for a boat ride on Lake Jordan.
Hold on tight little man. Me and my little sailor.
He pretended it was like a roller coaster.
Of course, we had to have snack time.
And, got to have some playing in the water time.
Our captain, with his tattered, sentimental hat on.
Our attempt at a shot of all of us.
Maybe he is thinking about the next time we can go back.
Days like today, make me appreciate the time I get to spend with my family.

I like the hat. I still have mine too. :)

Terry's hat is at the top of his closet, along with his very nasty pledge shirt! He also recently broke into a round of "Pledging Epsilon" at a tween devo, when "Who's that Walking Down the Road" was requested! Good times!
