The South

Where tea is sweet and accents are sweeter; summer starts in April; front porches are wide and words are long; macaroni and cheese is a vegetable; pecan pie is a staple; Y’all is the only proper pronoun; chicken is fried and biscuits come with gravy; everything is darling and someone is always getting their heart blessed. -unknown

Tryouts

Well, we have entered a new chapter of our lives. This past Saturday Brooks tried out for baseball.

It was all new and exciting! They helped each player get set to try to hit two balls. These were machine pitched balls that were coming in there a lot faster than Brooks or I expected. He didn't hit either one, but I was still proud of him.He then rounded first and second base.He then had to try and field two ground balls. Look at that form. His glove is completely backward from what it should be. That is ok though. He had a blast anyway. I love seeing how excited he is about all of this.
Good job Brooks!
