The South

Where tea is sweet and accents are sweeter; summer starts in April; front porches are wide and words are long; macaroni and cheese is a vegetable; pecan pie is a staple; Y’all is the only proper pronoun; chicken is fried and biscuits come with gravy; everything is darling and someone is always getting their heart blessed. -unknown

First Day of School!

This past Wednesday the boys began school. They were both excited and looking for a change. When I went to wake up the boys that morning, Brooks was already dressed, shoes on, and he was fixing his belt. I guess that means he was ready to go. Reese was harder to wake up, but still just as excited.

It is becoming a tradition for us to walk them into school each year.
Reese went right to his new locker and put his things in.
Here is Reese with his teacher. We love Mrs. K.
Brooks was ready to begin his work!
I can't wait to see what this year brings!
