The boys are both still pretty excited about school. Reese is being typical Reese, and having trouble being good during nap time. I often ask him to show me how he is supposed to be during nap time. He will then lay still and close his eyes. How hard is that? I suppose to an active 5 year old, it can be torture.
I have introduced my children to The Waltons. Brooks calls the show “John Boy.” The fact that I am enjoying this old classic is funny because when I was younger, I didn’t think I would like it. I guess at the time I thought it wasn’t cool enough! Now I watch this show and long for a simpler time in life. Although, they seemed to have a hard time making ends meet. So did those Baldwin sisters ever figure out that their “recipe” was actually whiskey?
Brent and I are going to be the new coordinators for VBS at our church next year. The former coordinators have done such a great job with it; I don’t know how we will ever live up to it. I am already brainstorming for ideas for next year! I guess it is never too early.
You know college football starts this week! I hope along with that, the cooler weather will begin to return to our area as well.
Have a great week and WAR EAGLE!

We coordinated VBS several years ago. It was a lot of work but I really enjoyed it. Hope things go well for you! I know you will do great! As far as nap goes, it is torturous for the teacher, too. It was a constant battle when I taught kindergarten!
I remember when Peyton was in kindergarten and his teacher recommended that he sit for 5-10 minutes a day without talking. I just nodded and then laughed at her once I got home. Our kids don't have naps in K, solves that problem. :)
I love the Waltons! We watch it EVERYDAY. I'm sure our kids will hate it but eventually they will love it too!
I'm so excited y'all are coordinating VBS!!!! I know y'all will do great!!!!
