What makes you happy?
I hate making my children’s school lunches every morning. If I would just make them the night before, I would be much happier. I don’t know why I don’t like making them in the mornings. Maybe it is because I don’t want to drag everything out to make sandwiches at 6:00 in the morning. I don’t want to pull out sandwich bags and put chips in them etc.
I have finally figured out that if I just buy pre-packaged chips, and things like Lunchables (which they LOVE,) all I will have to do in the morning is pull things out, and put them in lunch boxes. It makes me so happy!!!
Here is the thing; those items cost more money. So for me, it is a fine line between spending more money on these items, which doesn’t make me happy, versus spending less money but having to do more in the morning.
This is all trivial, but it made me stop and think about what brings happiness to one person, may not bring happiness to someone else. I have made a conscious effort the last few months to not “put down” someone else’s happiness….whatever the form. If someone enjoys something, however trivial, I should delight in the fact that they are seeking out their own happiness.
Happiness:
Not making a sandwich at 6 AM.
My 2003 Xterra. (I will drive it until the wheels fall off.)
Listening to my children try and sing at church.
Watching movies with Brent.
Finding $2.37 ties for Brooks to wear to church. He loved them!
Dogwoods in bloom.
All clothes in the house washed, and put away.
Cinnabon coffee creamer.
Reese getting all 5 stickers at school.
What makes you happy?

Right now, fabric makes me happy and uninterrupted sewing time. And thankfully, Larry making lunch sandwiches in the morning. :)
Happiness for me is
William vacuuming, Cooking Williams favorite foods,
Telling a patient they will be getting their braces off,
Hobby lobby, Dropping a pound, William giving me a massage, Christmas ornaments, live music, my dog roxy, holiday reeses, having someone tell me I look 25, moms chicken and dumplings, and buckle
