The South

Where tea is sweet and accents are sweeter; summer starts in April; front porches are wide and words are long; macaroni and cheese is a vegetable; pecan pie is a staple; Y’all is the only proper pronoun; chicken is fried and biscuits come with gravy; everything is darling and someone is always getting their heart blessed. -unknown

Pumpkin Patch!

We made our second annual trip to Clanton to go to the "Grand Ole Pumpkin Patch" on Saturday. This year, since we went on a Saturday, Brent and my dad got to go with us.
Our attempt at a family shot.

Brooks took this picture. He did a pretty good job!

Going down the "ginormous" slide. I wouldn't go so far as to say he liked it, but he did it.
Reese climbing through the maze.
The pony rides.

One of the three teepees, that the kids can climb in.
Brent tolerated the hay ride quite nicely. (He is allergic to everything. And I mean everything!)

Reese trying to pick up one that he has spotted.

Brent and ReeseReese was so happy with his pumpkin!
We had a great day, and even discovered a nice little place to eat in downtown Clanton. I love these kind of family days!
