The South

Where tea is sweet and accents are sweeter; summer starts in April; front porches are wide and words are long; macaroni and cheese is a vegetable; pecan pie is a staple; Y’all is the only proper pronoun; chicken is fried and biscuits come with gravy; everything is darling and someone is always getting their heart blessed. -unknown

Snow Day

Well it snowed. Can you believe it snowed in the deep south? The boys had a good time watching it come down. We went outside for a few minutes so that we could say that we did, but it had rained so much that it was just sloshy. Yes, I am the bad momma who took my sick child outside in the snow. I rationalized it by the fact that he wasn't out there for long, and I bundled him up real well, and this may not happen again for 10 years! On that note, Reese is much better. He still has a hacking cough that comes and goes, but it is becoming less and less frequent. We are still going to be cautious with him for the next few days.

Here are some pics of the boys.

I am glad you ended up with some snow. We had a good bit on Wednesday night. I was so excited about the potential of school being canceled. No, we had to go anyway!

No, you're not the bad mom! I had the same thoughts and did the same things with my boys. What a fun day!

Looks like you all had fun! I told Marley, maybe the next time it snowed she could run around too, instead of watching from the door!

He is much better! We are going to take him to church tonight. Now Brooks is getting sick. I guess it is always something.
