The South

Where tea is sweet and accents are sweeter; summer starts in April; front porches are wide and words are long; macaroni and cheese is a vegetable; pecan pie is a staple; Y’all is the only proper pronoun; chicken is fried and biscuits come with gravy; everything is darling and someone is always getting their heart blessed. -unknown

Today

I was getting Reese dressed this morning when I heard Brooks say from the bathroom, "Momma, do I have to tell the truth?" I said, "Yes." He then went into this long drawn out story about how he had just woken up and he wasn't doing something quite right (I am not going to type the specifics to spare him the counseling one day) and blah blah blah, and he got pee-pee all over the wall. Then he says, "but that is OK, because I told you the truth, right?"
After that, my day could only get better...

Shey is big into asking, "but it's ok, right?" as well. He's also big into peeing on the wall. Nice. OUr guest bathroom forever stinks.

Hey... P-E-E is better than V-O-M-I-T. Much easier to clean up! You just have to laugh at that!!!

Well, at least he's got the morals in order. Just teach him that cleanliness is second only to Godliness.

You can just hear Brooks saying that and looking at you with those big sweet eyes! That's a keeper story for when he's older.
