The South

Where tea is sweet and accents are sweeter; summer starts in April; front porches are wide and words are long; macaroni and cheese is a vegetable; pecan pie is a staple; Y’all is the only proper pronoun; chicken is fried and biscuits come with gravy; everything is darling and someone is always getting their heart blessed. -unknown

Eyes

Isn't it amazing how much a child will change is such a short amount of time. Brooks' eyes have always amazed me. When he was born I figured they would be blue and quickly change to some shade of brown. But he kept his blue eyes for a long time. Recently they have seemed to be changing colors at a faster pace. This was Brooks at 10 months old. They were blue as blue could be.
This is Brooks just a week ago. They are more green than anything now with some brown in them. I am just anxious to see what they will look like in a couple of years from now. Will they continue to change? And what about his hair? Will it always be the color it is? Will the curls ever be where we can control them? Anyway, I just had to say that I love his eyes.

Speaking of beautiful eyes... what will 5 years from now bring for this little one? I pray he still has eyes in his head!

Scott has blue eyes, but he says they aren't "real blue eyes" because they are a gray/blue. Funny how people interpret their own eye colors...
