The South

Where tea is sweet and accents are sweeter; summer starts in April; front porches are wide and words are long; macaroni and cheese is a vegetable; pecan pie is a staple; Y’all is the only proper pronoun; chicken is fried and biscuits come with gravy; everything is darling and someone is always getting their heart blessed. -unknown

Good Report

Reese is finally getting better from his cold. The doctor visit on Friday went well. The doctor said he didn't see anything wrong at this point. He also said that many children have double vision and that it clears up on it's own. He didn't say that Reese had that, but they would check him again in 6 months. All in all it was good. The only down side was that he, yet again, screamed as if we were lighting him on fire. I am sure the whole waiting room wondered what we were doing to him. I will be happy when he gets a little older and I can give him "the speach" before we go, and then, more than likely, punish him when he acts like that.

I have had "the crud" all weekend and it may be clearing up now. I think I caught whatever Reese had. Needless to say between he and I, there are medications lined up down the kitchen counter.

I got to go out to eat with my friends last night and really enjoyed it. We had a good time laughing and talking and just being together. We don't do it often enough.

I hope you all had a great weekend!
