The South

Where tea is sweet and accents are sweeter; summer starts in April; front porches are wide and words are long; macaroni and cheese is a vegetable; pecan pie is a staple; Y’all is the only proper pronoun; chicken is fried and biscuits come with gravy; everything is darling and someone is always getting their heart blessed. -unknown

Trip

Brent left tonight to go to a "leadership academy" conference thing, and won't be back until Friday. The funny part of the whole thing is that the conference is in Montgomery, yet he has to stay in a hotel. So, I guess if we had an emergency I could get him, but I don't think that getting the kids ready for the day would be considered an emergency. He always gets the boys ready in the morning since I go to work early and get off work early. That is just how we have always done it.
Anyway, I will be out of my element in the morning. I never can make Brooks' hair lay down as well as Brent does. Maybe it is a "guy thing"!

Scott is the same way. While I am getting ready (which, of course, takes longer) he is getting the kids ready. That especially happens on Sundays. I do manage if he isn't here, but I miss his help!

I hope your week goes well w/o your "other half". David helps me so much, I'm not sure what I would do with out him for a week!

You guys make me sick!! I do EVERYTHING for my kids. Granted, I stay at home, but it would be nice for Scott to take over bath time every now and then. Of course, he is rarely home by bath time. Anyway... good luck this week.

You'll do great! Just treasure your quiet time in the car without the boys.
