The South

Where tea is sweet and accents are sweeter; summer starts in April; front porches are wide and words are long; macaroni and cheese is a vegetable; pecan pie is a staple; Y’all is the only proper pronoun; chicken is fried and biscuits come with gravy; everything is darling and someone is always getting their heart blessed. -unknown

Thomas Detour

I have enjoyed reliving our trip and plan on taking the posts and transferring them to a book about our trip as a memento. But, we are taking a detour to post about another trip.

We went yesterday to Calera to see Thomas the Tank engine. This is the fourth year in a row that we have been. Brooks was always infatuated with Thomas, but sadly he is growing up and is slowly growing out of it. Then there is Reese on the other hand. He likes Thomas just fine, but could take him or leave him. I am starting to wonder if our trek to see him each year is coming to a close.

Sir Topham Hat
Playing putt-putt.
Reese would take his ball and put it right by the hole and then knock it in.

The boys got tattoos. Even I had to get a tattoo after the boys insisted.

All four years:

In the Topham Hatt picture, Reese looks like he is doing gang signs!
Love all the pictures. Makes me sad that they are outgrowing Thomas.
Love,
