The South

Where tea is sweet and accents are sweeter; summer starts in April; front porches are wide and words are long; macaroni and cheese is a vegetable; pecan pie is a staple; Y’all is the only proper pronoun; chicken is fried and biscuits come with gravy; everything is darling and someone is always getting their heart blessed. -unknown

Home again, Home again

We are home now. It was such a nice trip! We went to the Museum of Natural History yesterday morning and then met my cousing Melinda for lunch. Then, because she works for Texas Senator Hutchison, we got to go on a tour of the Capitol with some other people from Texas. It was all really interesting. Did you know that a lot of the inside of the capitol is hand painted with these elaborate murals? It is all very unbelievable.
Needless to say, we feel like we have seen it and done it all. I am going to post some pictures from the trip.....
