The South

Where tea is sweet and accents are sweeter; summer starts in April; front porches are wide and words are long; macaroni and cheese is a vegetable; pecan pie is a staple; Y’all is the only proper pronoun; chicken is fried and biscuits come with gravy; everything is darling and someone is always getting their heart blessed. -unknown

Beware!

I am always suspicious when I get an email that is just too crazy or too great to believe. I recently got an email about a new movie coming out called The Golden Compass. I was told "do not take your children to see this movie!" I checked it out for myself and found that what the email included was true. I am going to copy what was posted on www.snopes.com

"There will be a new Children's movie out in December called THE GOLDEN COMPASS. It is written by Phillip Pullman, a proud atheist who belongs to secular humanist societies. He hates C.S. Lewis's Chronical's of Narnia and has written a trilogy to show the other side. The movie has been dumbed down to fool kids and their parents in the hope that they will buy his trilogy where in the end the children kill God and everyone can do as they please. Nicole Kidman stars in the move so it will probably be advertised a lot. This is just a friendly warning that you sure won't hear on the regular TV."

The website confirmed that this was true! I don't usually take a second look at things like this but I felt I just needed to share this. When Brent and I went and saw The Bee Movie, there was a preview for this movie and it actually looked intriguing. I feel like parents will take their children to this movie, without knowing what it is truly about. Please spread the word!

Yeah, I've sent that email to everyone I know. ACA's school principal even sent a letter home. It makes me sick this athiest guy is preying on our children trying to get them to buy his books...sicko...

I have seen this too. Very scary and sad. We aren't much of a movie family, but I have passed this one on, too.
*Hey, would you like to join our other blog (as an author) with funny children stories? Let me know...
