The South

Where tea is sweet and accents are sweeter; summer starts in April; front porches are wide and words are long; macaroni and cheese is a vegetable; pecan pie is a staple; Y’all is the only proper pronoun; chicken is fried and biscuits come with gravy; everything is darling and someone is always getting their heart blessed. -unknown

New Ducks!

We have new ducks at our house! In October, the state fair was in town and they had baby animals for everyone to look at. Well, I guess when the fair packed up and left town, they left the ducks. They needed a home so they came to live with us. We have other ducks that live in the pond, but I am anxious to see how this turns out. I hope they all can get along. There are 13 of them! The pictures are of them arriving today.

Those are so much cuter than the ducks around here. Ours have ugly red bump things everywhere.

Okay, you have ducks and you make your child's Halloween costume. You are beginning to sound like a woman I love so much - Martha. Please don't tell me you harvest your own vegetables, too.

Tamara, you are too funny. I think I am just too cheap to go buy a costume:)
