The South

Where tea is sweet and accents are sweeter; summer starts in April; front porches are wide and words are long; macaroni and cheese is a vegetable; pecan pie is a staple; Y’all is the only proper pronoun; chicken is fried and biscuits come with gravy; everything is darling and someone is always getting their heart blessed. -unknown

Officially Old

I guess no one told me that when you turn 30, you are officially old.

Today at work, I asked another co-worker a question and she said, "Yes Ma'am." She wasn't being cute, she was really saying that to me as if I am her elder.

Let's just say, that made me feel weird....

How old is she?
Maybe she was just being respectful?

Yeah, I just turned 31 and that seems so weird. I just like to view us as wiser not old!
